Terms of Service

These terms cover your use of siargaobooking.com. By browsing the site, creating an account, or listing a property, you agree to them.

What Siargao Booking is

We are a directory of places to stay on Siargao Island. We publish listings and put you in touch with the host. We are not a travel agency, we are not a booking platform, and we are not a party to any agreement you make with a host.

We charge guests nothing. There are no booking fees. Hosts pay to list their property.

Bookings and payments

Every booking is made directly between you and the host, either off-platform or through whichever third-party platform the host links to. Prices, availability, deposits, cancellation rules, house rules, and refunds are set by the host, and any dispute about a stay is between you and the host.

We show the information hosts give us. We verify listings where we can, but we cannot guarantee that every detail, photo, or price is accurate or current. Check with the host before you pay anything.

Your account

• Give accurate details and keep your password to yourself.
• You're responsible for what happens under your account.
• One person, one account. Don't impersonate anyone.
• You can close your account at any time by contacting us.

If you list a property

By publishing a listing you confirm that:

• You own the property or are authorised to rent it out.
• Your details, photos, prices, and availability are accurate and kept up to date.
• You own the rights to the photos you upload, or have permission to use them.
• You'll comply with Philippine law and any local Siargao permits, registrations, and taxes that apply to your rental.
• You'll respond to guest enquiries in good faith.

Listing plans are paid in advance for the period you choose. A listing runs until the end of its paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable, except where the law says otherwise or where we've clearly made a mistake. We may remove a listing that breaks these terms, is inaccurate, or generates repeated complaints — and we'll tell you why.

Reviews

Reviews should describe a real stay and your honest experience. We remove reviews that are fake, paid for, abusive, off-topic, or that publish someone's private information. Hosts may not write reviews of their own properties or of competitors.

What you may not do

• Scrape, copy, or republish listings in bulk
• Post anything false, misleading, unlawful, or abusive
• Interfere with the site, probe it for vulnerabilities, or try to access other people's accounts
• Use the site or its contact details to send spam

Content and ownership

The site's design, code, and branding belong to Siargao Booking. Content you upload stays yours, but you grant us a licence to display, resize, and promote it in connection with the site and the listing it belongs to.

Availability

We aim to keep the site running, but we don't promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it.

Liability

The site is provided "as is". To the fullest extent Philippine law allows, we're not liable for anything that happens during or as a result of a stay, for a host's or guest's conduct, or for indirect or consequential losses. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of the Philippines, and the courts of the Philippines have jurisdiction over any dispute.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
