New on Siargao Booking: guest reviews, host dashboard, and the redesigned map

The platform has gone through a major refresh over the past few weeks. Here is what is new for hosts and travellers.

Guest reviews are live

Anyone who has stayed at a property can leave a star rating + written review. Reviews are tied to a verified email (or to the user account if they are logged in). Hosts moderate reviews on their listings and can publicly reply.

• Star rating shows on listing cards once a property has at least one review
• Filter the /stays page by minimum rating
• Hosts can import existing reviews from Airbnb, Google, or Booking.com (admin-assisted)

Redesigned host dashboard

Analytics now use a proper KPI grid with period comparison (7 / 30 / 90 days, with a 1-year option for top tiers). Six cards: Views, CTR, Total clicks, Booking-link clicks, Map clicks, and Avg rating, each showing the change vs the previous period.

Below: a smooth area chart of daily activity, a click-source breakdown (Airbnb / Booking.com / WhatsApp / Instagram / Facebook / direct), a traffic-sources card (where your visitors actually came from, Instagram, Google, direct), and a top-listings table with sparklines.

Edit your listing without re-entering everything

The old way: walk through 25 form steps to change one field. The new way: open the listing in edit mode, pick the section you want from a dropdown, change it, hit Save. Done.

Required profile photo with face check

To make the directory feel more like a community and less like a marketplace, every host and reviewer now uploads a clear photo of their face. We use a soft face-detection check on upload and a circular crop tool, so it is painless to do but the result is consistent across the site.

Saved stays sync across devices

Heart any listing and it now syncs to your account, no more losing your shortlist when you switch from phone to laptop.

Faster /stays map

The map page now loads listings in chunks based on what you are actually looking at, pan and zoom and the cards re-fetch in real time. We also added a markercluster layer so the low-zoom view does not drown in pins.

What is next

Booking inquiries (in-app form so leads do not leak), email notifications for review approvals, mobile polish, and SEO + structured-data work for better Google visibility. As always, if you have a feature request, reach out via your dashboard.
